I have received a response from our video. I hope you share the video and this email.

Why do these people think they have the MORAL AUTHORITY to decide who is deserving of having a home and who isn't?

Hi Wallace,

Well, we're not, we haven't published our committee names and addresses due to fanatical people telephoning and door-knocking (even without publishing our details this has happened). We are however addressing the fact that we appear nameless this coming week, stay tuned.
Secondly, you say the campaign lacks compassion. Yes, it does, where was the compassion when the City decided on the site without consulting the other residents? Where is the compassion in putting people with (as you rightly state) drug and alcohol addiction into units with no opportunity to get clean. This isn't helping people, this is shifting the problem. We call on the Council to come to the table and discuss the issue as they should. We're not against 'sheltered housing' as you put it, we are against Low Barrier housing. There are enough homeless people that need housing who don't have drug and alcohol problems, or are in recovery - THEY are the ones who deserve housing, not those who don't or can't or won't make an effort to detox.
Our campaign has been hard-hitting and has reached a large proportion of the City population, we have raised awareness of the plight of our homeless and the poor decision making by our City and Council, so whether you like the campaign or not, it's working. If we'd used pretty pictures of fairy princesses and sunshine it might not have had such an impact."
