URGENT On Monday Councillor Bill Bestwick will be making the following motion, please pass this on to others and if anyone is able apply to appear as a delegation http://www.nanaimo.ca/delegation/request_to_appear.aspx , you can apply online up till 11:00am Monday morning; if more than 4 appear as delegations they will receive 5 minutes; or at the very least e-mail mayor.council@nanaimo.ca thank them for their support of the plan and urge them not to vote for the motion. OTHER BUSINESSS: (a) At the regular meeting of the Finance I Policy Committee of the Whole on 2011-0CT-24, Councillor Bestwick advised that he would be bringing forward a motion regarding the Uplands Drive low-barrier housing site: "That Council direct Staff to place the Uplands Site for low barrier housing on hold and submit a review of other site options to Council and the Provincial Government for consideration."
