Homeless Week Raises Awareness ?

Obviously the community is still in the dark, especially the city. In the rush to print this story, I see nothing is mentioned about the Winter Shelter at the Unitarian Fellowship on Townsite reverting back to an Extreme Weather Shelter.  I guess that housing first and harm reduction only is contingent on millions of dollars from the government, and new facilities that will not all be complete for a few more years.
In the mean time let us all hide our heads in the sand and let those experiencing homelessness in our community to suffer again this winter.
Shame on the Unitarian Fellowship of Nanaimo, shame on the Mayor and Council, shame on Mr. John Horn, shame on the Working Group On Homelessness.
Once again we have those who believe they have the moral authority to decide who is deserving and who is undeserving, they just happen to be the ones professing to be assisting them.
