Happy International Women's Day
Greetings my friends,
As a feminist,I look at this as a sacred day to pay homage to all the amazing women who strive for equality,inclusion & equity for all.It is a stain on our collective conscience that inequality,domestic violence...are still prevalent in our society.
For our government to point fingures at other countries regarding human rights, yet ignoring those who suffer in our own towns & cities.Prioritizing tax cuts for the wealthy,the olympics,etc, while cutting funding to essential services for women & children.
The need for men to stand up and speak for the rights of women,the need to be a part of the solution is now.To redifine the role of masculinity,to have a voice against gender violence,domestic violence,and becoming allies in the pursuit of equality.This is not just a women's issue,we all have a part to play...what is yours? Lip service or action?
